EVISU’s most textile-forward design — the iconic seagull “M” silhouette is formed entirely by two full-length nishiki-ori (Japanese brocade/jacquard) fabric panels sewn into the dark indigo selvedge denim. The brocade features a traditional Japanese motif of peonies (botan), waves (nami), and cranes (tsuru) in gold, green, white, and cream on a dark ground. The result is a wearable fusion of denim craft and kimono textile heritage.
